Every student who attends St. Norbert School is a member of a ‘House’. The houses are made up of all students from the LKG Class through to the senior most class. Each student will wear the house track suit on the designated days. Every house will have a House Captain and a Vice Captain.
The houses are named as follows:
St. Thomas House (Red House)Motto of the House: “Stand Tall for What is Right and True”.
History: St. Thomas was one of the twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ. He was born in Galilee. He is regarded as the patron saint of India. He was a courageous Apostle of Christ. He died in 72 AD. His feast is celebrated on 3rd July.
St. Augustine House (Green House)
Motto of the House: “Dedicated to Excellence”.
History: St. Augustine (354 – 430 AD) was an early Christian theologian and philosopher whose writings influenced the development of Western Christianity. He was the Bishop of Hippo. His feast is celebrated on 28th August.
St. Alphonsa House (Yellow House)
Motto of the House: “Together We Achieve the Extraordinary”.
History: St. Alphonsa (1910 – 1946) was a Syro – Malabar Catholic Franciscan nun. She is the first woman of Indian origin to be canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church. She was a teacher and a friend of school children. Her feast is celebrated on 28th July.
St. Antony House (Blue House)
Motto of the House: “We Work to Make a Difference”.
History: St. Antony of Padua (1195 – 1231) was a Portuguese Catholic Priest and friar of the Franciscan Order. He is known for his powerful preaching and expert knowledge of scripture. He is also the patron saint of finding things and lost people. His feast is celebrated on 13th June.
