The St. Norbert School, Bangalore celebrated its ‘6th Annual Day’ with unprecedented fanfare on November 29, 2019 with great elation and gusto. As the sun set in the west horizon, all could watch an elegant floor which was ready to explore and expose a month’s hard work of the Norbertine children. The spectacular evening began with a Formal Meeting which was presided by Rev. Fr. Vincent Mattamel O. Praem and the Chief Guest of Honor Mrs. Vranda (Associate Professor at NIMHANS) along with the galaxy of distinguished invitees. The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the distinguished assembly of guests. The Administrator Fr. Jose Anthanatt O.Praem welcomed the gathering and Fr. Jijo O.Praem, The Principal presented the school report accentuating the progress of the school throughout the year. The Chief Guest spoke at length about the plethora of unwarranted use of technology by the present generation and urged the parents to do the necessitating parental care. The Formal Meeting was brought to the conclusion by presenting token of love and appreciation to all the guests of honor by the management.
The colorful extravaganza followed by the formal function propelled the feelings and stole the hearts of the viewers. The theme of the program was ‘the memories of school life’ and ‘the togetherness and mutual understanding’ of family in this 21st Century. The theme really made the audience to recount the tale of one’s school life and the necessity of the attachment and intimacy among the family members. Performance of our loving kids of pre-primary level exemplified its significance through a mesmerizing presentation which was an incredible visual treat. The perennial existence of music and the essence of various types of dances included the harmony of the event.
The scintillating performances of our young dancers and singers robbed lot of applauds from the audience. Nail biting presentation of mime grilled the senses of the watchers and made them to halt and contemplate about the over dependence and addiction on mobile and technology. The performances on over anxiety and stress of students during the exam and over expectation of the parents from their children really left a big impact and influence on the audience.
The thought provoking video message by Fr. John Zagarella and Fr. Jose, The Administratorsss was the grandeur of the finale left the audience thoughtful. The vote of thanks to the revered assembly of guests and all the helping hands was presented through a short thanks giving video which captivated the parents minds on the hard work contributed by the management, teachers along with the students.
Thanking to the Supreme Almighty for the blessings we received, our students waved heart contented goodbye to the audience with immense pleasure and endless joy.
