Independence Day Celebration

The 73rd Independence Day Celebration 2019 commenced at 8.30 A.M. The programme began by invoking God’s blessings through a prayer song by the school choir followed by the welcome speech. Then the solemn part of the programme that is Flag Hoisting was done. The whole gathering honoured the Indian flag and remembered the people who sacrificed to free mother India from the clutches of British. We were honoured to have Rev. Fr. Antony Sebastian, The Chairperson for Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights as our chief guest who is well known for his achievements in society especially the childcare . He enlightened our students by saying the world around us is suffering due to natural calamities, poverty, corruption etc. So we need to lend our hand to help and free them from their suffering. Thus we can experience freedom.

The day was adorned by a student’s speech and excellent patriotic dances. The melodious patriotic songs added colour to the day. The encouraging presence of Fr. Jose the Administrator, Parish priest Fr. Manoj, our parents made the programme complete. Thus the programme came to an end with the note of gratitude, feeling of oneness and freedom.
